A Summer Day Out in Lahore

There is a saying that life is like a book and people who don’t go on outings or travel around are the ones who only got a chance to read a few chapters of their life book and die having the rest of their book completely empty so I am not that type of person who stays in a cage I always love to explore new places and things and that is also a secret of successful people that they have a complete work life balance so following the tradition of successful people and also to have fun with friends our prestigious Amal Academy gave us opportunity to explore Lahore and have fun in the presence of our fellows and teachers.

We started our journey from Amal Academy main campus around 08:00 and our first stop was in Anar Kali food street where we did a fantastic traditional Lahori breakfast.

And after that we headed toward Badshahi Mosque and Shahi Qila Lahore we were 40+ in strength and in the bus we were dancing and singing and were making hell fun the funny fact is that it was a hot sunny day and the bus we had was also without air conditioner so it made our journey more HOT and funny and as we have a heavy breakfast so everyone was just saying water! water! here have a look inside the bus.

Although it was very hot in the bus but our spirit and courage for having fun allows us to defeat that summer heat with our amazing singing activities and without noticing we reached the Azadi chowk the driver parked the bus and we were ready to beat the heat and to explore the Great Shahi Qila and Badshahi Mosque.

One of our fellow named Hussain took the responsibility to be our guide for these historical places and described the complete history and interesting facts of these beautiful places. In that place we did a lot of fun activities and also captured those moments in our cameras in the pictures one is the whole family picture and in the solo picture is our guide for the day.

Meet Mr Hussain our tour guide and that day he was more than a guide to us he was the continuous source of happiness and joy for all of us and our fellows Usman, Salman, Syed Hasaan and no doubt our best camera man mr. Farhan are the heroes of that day and I want to thank them all for making our day so beautiful and memorable.

Afternoon we went to MM Alam Road where we watched a “Horror Movie” and our intentions were to be afraid but due to our funny fellows that movie turned into a funny one and instead of being afraid we all were cracking jokes of that scary scenes and it was a great great adventure and lesson for us that how to change a horror movie in to a funny one and now we are a master at it. You can clearly see our happy and smiling faces at the end of movie.

Now it was 5 in the evening so we came back to campus again and sat there for some rest our Ma’am Mishal uploaded the task for upcoming week and rest of us started chatting, playing cards, singing, dancing and gossip.

In the evening there was also a hearty feast of BBQ and for that purpose we hired some professionals that provided us the best BBQ ever and during this whole process our Sir Awais Farooq Roy (The person in the red shirt above) gave us our surprise gifts and made our day so special at the end of the night there was complete sorrow in the air as we were going to apart and I don’t know how in the short period of 3 months we became so close to each other that every person was weeping and taking oath from the person standing in front of him/her that they will meet again real soon and will never lose each other.

So writing this above article I was having my eyes wet and when a friend asked me Anas what was our favourite part of that day I was like what do you mean by favourite part of the whole day was one of the best days of my life and for a person like me who always enjoy the friends gathering and meet up planes it is impossible to decide what particular part is favourite for me because when my friends are around me it is the best time for me.

On that day I learnt a lot of things first of all how to enjoy the company of friends and neglect the things that are creating hindrance in our journey of fun like on that day we faced intense heat and shortage of seats and also while visiting historical places I imagined the life of the people over there and also their living style and traditions and also felt the ups and downs they faced and now at this time how they have become the part of history but their great work and memories are still here and are providing guidance to us. Also I visited these places for the first time that’s why I was comfortable when was guided by a fellow and now I can guide someone as I have now enough knowledge.

So I have decided that in my life after 3–4 months of the year I will make a plan to go out with my friends or family for recreation and to create a balance between both work and life in order to deliver my 100% .

Now I want to thank all the persons especially Mr Usman butt due to which efforts all this happened and I am in debt of all the person who made this beautiful event and how can I forget my Program Manager Sir Awais Farooq Roy and Assistant program Manager Ma’am Mishal Zahid and Ma’am Zeest Hassan Qureshi for joining us.
