What is the greatest illusion of all time?

Perceptual illusions make you see one thing, but looking closely reveals something else. Goblet or profiles?

We see division, but can also appreciate the view of Earth from the moon. Mourn the pain, remember Helen Keller’s words:

Overcoming divisiveness is possible.

Mental health professionals can help see both sides and explore contradictions. Therapists use these skills with people and groups. We can expand those applications everywhere. Integrating truths heals.

Reduce shaming and blaming to treat symptom patterns, including global intergenerational and international misunderstanding.

Carl Rogers stated:

That paradox persists.

We need to access our Wise Selves and connectedness to heal the divisions in our world. Family systems therapy shifted psychology in the 1960s to view psychopathology as a whole family issue, not just an individual one.

Let’s use family systems therapy and “parts work” to solve global problems. Opposition voices shouldn’t be silenced. We need to listen to the pain

Our cerebral cortex grew by facing challenge. Human brain size tripled during evolution, mostly due to growth in the cerebral cortex. Let’s evolve our brains and act from love and connectedness. Our fates are linked.

Let’s partner to find and create light in the midst of separation and brokenness.
