5 Reasons Why Animals Are Better Than Humans

As if we really needed any more convincing.

Any self-proclaimed animal lover can tell you how much joy, comfort, and love animals bring to the table. For example, the past few days my boyfriend and I have been in bed with Covid (yes, it finally caught up to us) and our fur babies haven’t left our side throughout the process. They’ve been extra attentive and sweet. Haze and Salem have barely moved, and now that I think about it — they’ve only gotten up to eat or do their business.

Even when I’m not sick, although I have friends and family that I genuinely enjoy talking to and have been extremely supportive, (especially now) nothing beats being at home with my fur babies. The fact of the matter is, animals are better than humans, and I’ll always believe that.

Here’s why:

Each animal is unique with their own personality. They have a way of doing things that tickle us without even knowing they’re doing it.

Hugo and I love playing fetch with Haze. Once he catches the toy he will hold the toy in his mouth and trot around like a horse. We always get a good laugh out of this because Haze just looks so proud to have caught his toy.

I’ll never forget this one incident with Salem. My ex and I had just arrived back at home with McDonald’s and sat down at the table to eat. As soon as I turned away and let my guard down, I noticed Salem had a whole chicken nugget in his mouth, and he darted off with the whole entire thing! My little scavenger.

I’ll never forget that. I wish you could have been there to see it.

Let’s face it, we all have those nights where we just want to lounge around in our nightclothes, snuggle up in our beds, and binge-watch movies. We all have bad days and we have good days.

Our fur babies will be there for us no matter what kind of day we’re having. They’re always there to listen to us vent, love us unconditionally, and are happy just being by our side.
